Toyota Motor Co., Ltd., which ranks 10th, is the highest-ranking Japanese company. There were 160 Japanese firms in the top 1,000, with R&D investment totaling US $ 117 billion.
The organization is working on sound related AI research and development. Crystal Method is working on deep learning for sound 2D, 3D AI, abnormal sound judgment, sound source separation, voice synthesis, and multimodal emotion detection. In addition, the company is working on artificial intelligence (AI) that can handle 2D images. To discover what is most similar to the input image, image classification employs a technique known as convolution neural networks (CNNs). A convolution layer is generated by computing the feature amount of the overlapped part of the filter and the image by matching the area called the filter with the input image as the background for utilising this CNN, and the convolution layer is extracted. This interactive AI HAL3 is further equipped with an emotion recognition function, which enables highly accurate emotion recognition.

However, trying to instruct a computer in natural language is not so easy because natural language has ambiguities with various interpretations of words and sentences. This is where Crystal Method’s natural language processing is a general attempt to confront such difficulties and make a computer handle complex and esoteric natural languages. Going ahead, the firm will continue to research about the last AI and making presentations at academic conferences and study groups.
